for the 2026-2027 School Year!
This is a reminder that all students must be enrolled for the 2026–2027 school year in order to attend school. Families are encouraged to complete enrollment as soon as possible to secure their child’s spot.
Families of current students in preschool through 11th grade should have already received their Snapcode letters in the mail. Please keep this important information, as the Snapcode is required to register your student.
Families who are new to Greater Clark County Schools do not need a Snapcode to register.

Virtual Academy Enrollment
The Greater Clark Virtual Academy (GCVA) offers students in grades 9–12 a flexible, supportive way to complete their high school education without sacrificing connection, structure, or quality.
GCVA currently has several openings available for students entering grades 9 and 10 for the 2026–2027 school year.
Students enrolled in GCVA participate in live, virtual core classes taught by Greater Clark County Schools teachers, ensuring they receive high-quality instruction. Each student is provided with a Chromebook and receives daily live check-ins with a GCVA Coordinator for ongoing support and progress monitoring. Students also have access to a GCCS school counselor to help guide them academically and personally.
While learning takes place online, GCVA students still have opportunities to stay connected through milestone events such as Prom and Graduation. Please note that athletics are not included.
Since its launch in the 2021–2022 school year, GCVA has achieved a 100% graduation rate, demonstrating the strength of its model and the success of its students.
For families seeking a flexible high school option without giving up structure, support, or achievement, the Greater Clark Virtual Academy is a proven choice.

Indiana Phone Ban Law
Beginning July 1, Senate Bill 78, also known as the bell-to-bell cell phone ban, went into effect.
This law aims to support a distraction-free learning environment for students. In accordance with state law, the following changes have been made:
- All devices must be powered off and inaccessible for the entire school day. Teachers do not have the authority to provide exceptions.
- The ban includes cell phones, smartwatches, headphones, earbuds, tablets, personal laptops, smart glasses, gaming devices, and any other electronic device not issued by the school.
Exceptions will be made for students with documented medical needs or requirements explicitly stated in an IEP or 504 plan.
Students who do not comply with this law will be subject to school discipline procedures as outlined in the student handbook.

Free & Reduced Lunch Applications Now Open
Free and Reduced Lunch applications for the 2026–2027 school year are now open.
Families who qualify are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible. Please note that a new application must be submitted each school year.
If you submitted a Free and Reduced Lunch application before July 1, you will need to resubmit it for the 2026–2027 school year.
We encourage families to complete the application early to ensure benefits are in place for the start of the school year.

Register for STEM-ER Camp
Registration is now open for the upcoming STEM-ER Camp with Ivy Tech!
The camp will take place July 20–24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Perkins Technology Center, located at 1638 Production Drive in Jeffersonville.

STEM-ER Camp is open to high school freshmen and sophomores, ages 14–16. Participants will gain hands-on experience in design, 3D printing, art, career exploration, electronics, programming, and more.

Aramark and Greater Clark County Schools are now hiring for several food service positions, including Food Service Workers, Kitchen Managers, and Supervisors.
