Greater Clark County Schools is offering a Virtual Academy for the 2023-24 school year for Indiana students entering grades 8-12.
Find out all you need to know about the 2023-24 model by clicking here.
Registration for all students opens Monday, April 3rd at 8:00 a.m. via the InfoSnap online portal. If you are a returning student and did not receive a snapcode letter or have any snapcode issues, please email wgallagher@gccschools.com (for middle or high schools).
Parents interested in enrolling their student(s) in the Greater Clark Virtual Academy (GCVA) must complete the online registration process prior to applying for the virtual academy. Current GCVA students must complete the InfoSnap registration process indicating their traditional home school. Once the online registration has been completed, parents will need to fill out the GCVA Request for Enrollment in order to be considered for acceptance into the virtual academy.
The school meals program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, school corporations across the country have been operating with the use of a federal waiver that allowed them to feed every child for free through the end of this school year. The use of this waiver will not be available after this school year and corporations will return to the traditional eligibility requirements for free, reduced and paid meals. This means that for School Year 2022-2023, our school corporation will process free and reduced-price meal benefit applications.
The Food Services Department does have the ability to Directly Certify students who receive SNAP, TANF, and some Medicaid, are certified as homeless, migrant, or are wards of the state (foster children). Households who are found to be directly certified will be notified in writing of the free or reduced-price meal status prior to the start of school and will not need to complete an application.
Households are encouraged to apply before the start of the school year to avoid unpaid meal charges and text book fees. Students who are not approved for free or reduced-price meal benefits before the start of the school year will be classified as paid status and meal charges may begin to accumulate starting the first day of school. Meal charges accrued before the approval of a meal benefit application will be the responsibility of the household.
You do NOT need to complete an application if:
- You receive notification that your child (ren) are directly certified.
- You know your household does not qualify for meal benefits. (Please have money in your child’s account on the first day of school.)
*Applications received prior to July 1 will not be effective for the 2022-2023 school year.
You can access the online meal application site at https://www.nlappscloud.com/ to complete an online application. Paper applications will be available at back to school events, your schools front office, or by request. If you need assistance, please contact Jordan Lewis in food service.
Elementary book rental fees can be paid by clicking Textbook Payments below. You will need your child’s ID# in order to complete the process.
Middle/high school invoices will be mailed home after September 1st.
Parents can apply for an Inter-Corporation Transfer. You will need to register your child at their “home” school and fill out a Transfer form. The receiving school will notify you if they have room for your child. If a transfer is granted, transportation will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Parents can obtain the Inter-Corporation Transfer Form from your home school. *NOTE: Utica Elementary does not accept transfers under any circumstances.
