Greater Clark County Schools is home to 8 elementary schools with each offering a strong literacy program grounded in the Science of Reading, a rigorous numeracy program with conceptual learning models, integrated science and social studies content, and related arts areas of art, music, library, physical education, and technology/STEM.

Admission to kindergarten is based on a child’s chronological age, and is open to any child who reaches the age of five (5) by August 1st.
Early entrance into kindergarten is not usually recommended, but will be considered upon parent/guardian’s request for those children whose birthdays fall on or after August 2nd and on or before October 1st. Early admission will not be considered for those children whose birthdays fall on or after October 2nd.
A written request for early admission shall be submitted to Karen Wesely, Director of Elementary Education, by the parent/guardian on or before the second Friday in May. The only exception to this deadline will be for those children who moved into the district after May 15th. The deadline for students new to the district will be the second Friday in July. Our elementary schools offer a variety of extracurricular activities that focus on academics, leadership, and/or creativity. Each school has some unique offerings; however, you will find all of the programs below at each GCCS elementary school.
Our elementary schools offer a wide array of athletic programs to encourage physical fitness as well as teaching students about sportsmanship, teamwork and more.
