Greater Clark County Schools is launching a Virtual Academy for the 2021-2022 school year.

Uniting for a Greater Cause

The Greater Clark Education Association and the New Albany Floyd County Education Association are teaming together, uniting for a greater cause.

State lawmakers are proposing increasing the funding for private school vouchers, raising the poverty income qualification guidelines to $145,000 a year for a family of four. That additional funding will come directly from public school funds.

Bus Driver, Monitor Honored

The school board recognized bus driver Jill Sluder (far left) and bus monitor Kendra Coleman (far right) last night at the board meeting for their quick thinking helping a student.

On Wednesday, Feb 24th, Sluder and Coleman radioed in and said that they have a child that needs medical attention. “This student is normally very tired in the mornings but today is different,” Sluder stated. Out of an abundance of caution, she pulled over to a safe location and waited for EMT.

Bridgepoint Boundary Lines

Starting with the 2021-2022 school year, new boundary lines will be in effect for those students that live in Bridgepoint Elementary’s district. Those students will attend either Riverside Elementary, Northaven Elementary, or Franklin Square Elementary.

This redistricting will begin at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
